Why we built this

Buying or selling a motorcycle on a general classifieds site means wading through cars, vans and boats to find anything relevant, with search filters built for four wheels rather than two — no licence category, no engine size, nowhere sensible to put parts or gear alongside the bikes they fit. IrishBikes.ie exists to fix that: a marketplace built from the ground up around motorcycles, scooters, quads, motocross bikes, parts and gear, and nothing else.

What's different here

• Filter by the licence you actually hold — AM, A1, A2 or A — so you're never browsing bikes you're not legally able to ride yet.
• A free price check and value estimator, comparing a listing (or a bike you're thinking of selling) against similar live and recently-sold listings, adjusted for year and mileage.
• An import VRT calculator for anyone bringing a bike into Ireland, based on Revenue's published rate schedule.
• Separate categories for parts and gear, instead of being buried under generic "accessories".
• Listing is completely free — no subscription, no commission, no catch.

Keeping listings genuine

Every new listing is checked — an automated first pass confirms it's a genuine, appropriately categorised motorcycle, scooter, quad, part or piece of gear before it goes live, with a person able to review anything the system isn't confident about. Sellers build a visible track record through ratings left by other users, and dealers can apply for a verified badge. See our Privacy Policy for exactly how that automated check works.

Who's behind it

IrishBikes.ie is an independent Irish business, founded by Von — a rider who got tired of the alternatives and built the site he wanted to use himself. It's early days: we're working directly with independent dealers and private sellers across Ireland and Northern Ireland to get their stock listed, and taking feedback seriously from everyone using the site. If something's missing or annoying, we'd genuinely like to hear about it.
